So what you did was use an interrupter to stop behavior. the barking but you missed some steps.
you did not reward the quite once he stopped. You did not change the environment to help him stay stopped.
You also responded to the barking and reinforced the negative and gave it great value... a ton of attention even if it was bad.

Now what??

I prefer to not use interrupter at all cause they can be very scary to some dogs and because you miss the good end and forget to reward.

But if you must use them as soon as the bark stops you must drop a treat and go good quite. Teah what you want instead of the bark the other way to hadle it is ClickerSolutions Training Treasures -- Retraining Manic Alert Barking.

Also block the view so the triggers are less that the dog barks and you can reward the calm and quite.... once you get the quite put it on a cue.
