I've seen gates that look less like baby gates and more like a fancy railing that work for you. They are permanently installed and just swing open with a push on the latch. I think maybe dog.com or some other online site had them. Are you at a desk most of the day? Maybe you could keep her on his leash and tie it around your waist. Like a long flexi leash? I'm sure she would love to have to be close to you!
