I have a trainer from Barkbusters who comes to your home and works with you and your puppy one on one at 10 wks or older. It's not cheap, but she comes whenever we have a problem and it's a one time fee for the life of the dog even if the dog gets a new owner, as long as you follow their instructions and practice daily. By the way, praise is used as a reward instead of treats. I feel as if we got our money's worth because unlike the Petco or Pet Smart experience, she was focused on my dog alone and how WE interact together for more than an hour each time she came and she saw the behaviors that needed attention and was able to address them in training. She was very good at training US as well.
