So question is: What did you dream about last night?

I dreamed that there was a leopard/jaguar in my yard and I was watching it. (Now since there are no leopards in Alabama...) It was my yard, but it wasn't my yard...What was my yard in the dream in reality is actually a section of land off the highway about 3 miles down the road.
Dreams are a way for our subconscious to refresh itself and work out its problems. Everyone dreams, but many don't remember their dreams so think they don't dream. Studies have shown, that if a person is kept from dreaming for as little as three days, psychosis develops. One of the problems with alcohol and sleeping pills is that people don't get as much dream time in per night and may only dream at the very end of the night. There are many good books on interpreting your dreams, but most psychologists think books that say an apple means such and such or water means such as such, are incorrect, and the symbols in dreams only mean what the particular individual who dreams them thinks they mean. Dreams can be a very useful tool in understanding our problems and what's bothering us, but if someone tries to tell you that your dream means such and such, and you don't believe it, then you are probably right, only you can interpret your dreams, and you will have awareness about yourself when you do this. Some people think God speaks to us through dreams and the bible gives many examples of God sending his servants dreams.

One of the best methods of interpreting your dreams is to write them out in great detail, next write out what the symbols mean to you. Using the example of a leopard, some people might think ferocious, wild, dangerous, changing its spots. Changing its spots could refer to the biblical reference.

"Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? Then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil." -- Jeremiah 13: 22-23 .

So my interpretation of your dream is that something's bothering you.
