Yes I am paranoid with good reason. Twice I have caught people attempting to take my Yorkie. We treat Mya the same as you would a baby in that we do not walk away from her if she is in a shopping cart or take our eyes off her if she is out side. I do not put her travel bag down with out having between my feet, right beside me with one hand on it. Yorkies are very expensive here in Ontario and considered a "luxtury item" Some would steal her just for the cash. I even worry about some breaking in to the house and taking her.
I think it is sweet how Mya, when hearing a new noise at home that she is unsure about sits between our larger dog's front feet her ears touching his chest. She feels safe there.
