I am not so worried about ticks as Alfie is more of an indoor Yorkie and when we start bringing him out... there isnt much grass as we live in the city..

but the vet mentioned something (I can't remember what exactly...) but dogs being treated for something because of mosquito bites...
I take from your post... Heartworm I will need, but the Flea, tick, and mosquito is more optional and the least used, the better? Is that correct? If that is the case I think I would go with Advantage alone (less is better) and a heartworm preventative...
This is all so new to me... I want to make the best choice
