The vet that neutered Baxter this morning called me just now. Baxter's surgery went just fine. He's awake, but still drunk. They will monitor him through the night just to make sure everything is ok, no fever, infection, reations to anesthesia, etc. There is an RN there with them, and the vet can view them on web cam. They will call me in the morning when I can pick him up. Thanks for all of your posts that are so important when tring to wait these things out! He'll be ok there tonight. I'm trying to convince myself it is for the best.
