I would definitely recommend wetting your baby down quite a bit if it is hot. I also have a cool pad for him to lay on. You could also use a cool wet towel for that. We either dunk him in the water or I wet him down in the sink. But be sure to watch for signs of getting too warm, it can happen very quickly.

I take my snoozer car seat on the boat so he is able to look out when we are underway to combat sea sickness. Fortunately he has not had any issues with that. Maggie did get sea sick on our return trip home-it was a little rough. The 2nd weekend out with her she was much better.
