I have had 2 yorkies that went deaf and mostly blind. My first Yorkie, Molly, who passed already went completely deaf and almost completely blind. Her daughter, Mindy who I have now is completely deaf and going blind. It is a challenge but hopefully this dog will recognize hand signals and hasn't been deaf his whole life. Mindy responds to had signals and until her sight goes she should do O.K. Both of my girls had Cushings Disease and I don't know if that is what made them deaf but they both got ear infections a lot and their ear canals got badly scarred and narrow. Good Luck with your guy and I really respect you giving him a chance!! Bravo!!
