I paid $400 for a $300 Yorkie!

Here's the story...I researched different breeds for 2 months because we wanted to surprise our kids with a Christmas puppy. I settled on a Shih Tzu cause my husband refused to pay what a Yorkie cost. One Saturday I went to a breeder's house and picked out a Shih Tzu puppy. It cost $400 and I made a $100 deposit. I'm sure you can guess the rest. Ten minutes after I left the breeder's house, I settled in at Starbucks for a cappucino. As I browsed the want ads, there it was! My chance at a Yorkie. I couldn't help but call, asked why they were selling them so cheap. Bo was the product of an accidental breeding (lucky for me!!) of two friends' Yorkies and they weren't offering papers. I got to see both parents and they were SO pretty. There were 3 in the litter and Bo and his sister were left. Of course I fell in love, rationalized the heck out of my decision, and brought him home that day. The rest is history. My husband said, "Tell that breeder I know where he lives!" (year right tough guy, LOL) and I told him the receipt for the deposit said 'No refunds'. It didn't matter. I could tell Bo was pure bred with or without papers and he is my 'Mommy's Boy'!!
