We used to take Max,but after a bad weather going to Bimini, he is not so fun to the boat anymore.He can swim, but keep in mind their legs are short, so they get tired very easy, never go into the water without a life jacket, we got ours at West Marine and was not hard to find.
Sunscreen on his head, life jacket and your baby will do fine.
