Put yourself in those people's shoe's (the finders)I was very sad when I had to give up 3 shih tzues I found walking by 309, in hazleton. I had them for 3weeks. They were dirty, but looked as if they were well taken care of. There were not mats in their coats. They were tiny like a chinese imperial. I could tell they were expensive dogs, and house trained, and they were always toguether. We call the police. nobody call for lost dogs. We call the shelter, but the shelter wanted the dogs, and I wanted to keep them if noone called. We put the add in the paper, and sure enough, an indian doctor, claim them as his. No need to see the papers. They run to him happily, and I wanted to cry. They stayed in my house for a total of three weeks. I wished I didn't put the ad in the paper. The point I am trying to make is that, in a year, not only that couple got atatched to your dog, but also, the dog is used to them. Just think about it. I would still try to contact them, just to make sure he is well.
