Only one of my four has ever gotten carsick, but it's coincidentally the same one I'm about to take on an airplane. I just called my vet to see if there's something I need to give her before the flight. It's been such a hassle to get all this scheduled, I hadn't even thought about airsickness until I saw this post.
As far as the carsickness in general, we don't usually take our girls on long trips, but they always do fine in the car. Jasmine's only episode was when we were bringing her home. It was about an hour drive, and she had never been in a car. I asked for towels to take with us in case she got sick.
She did fine until we were literally three minutes from our house. An odor of skunk spray permeated the car, and she almost immediately started gagging then started throwing up. I still don't know if it was the trip, the odor, or a combination of the two that made her sick. |
