Unfortunately we see this happen frequently at our clinic, especially on cats. Please purchase your flea meds from your vet. It is ok to apply right after a bath. Our groomer applies Advantage to my dogs while they are wet and blows them dry so they don't have that residue left in their hair. Have never had a problem with fleas. Advantage has always been promoted as being ok to use if you have dogs that swims or you bathe frequenty. Frontline should be applied at least 24 hours before the bath and as far as after, just make sure they are dry. Please remember to use a mild shampoo when bathing so you don't wash it off. NO flea shampoos.
