They did mention the issue of if they were closer to the surface or at an easier angle it would be a local anesthesia type surgery, but apparently they're still lodged in there pretty good. Well I think we're going to do the surgery when we get back from our vacation as I don't want to stick my mom and step dad with a recouperating pup. He seems pretty good right now since he's started his pain meds though so at least I know he's not hurting. Thanks so much for your help with this!
