I did the same thing as most people in this thread have said -- just kept repeating my baby's name and she got to know it pretty fast. It's funny because she also responds to the various other things I call her, like "sweet pea" and "baby girl" etc. She always perks right up and looks at me when I use her name, Pixel, but it's cute to see her respond to the other endearing terms my sister and I use. Dogs are pretty clever that way.
