Just explain to him that you're not going to go broke feeding a Yorkie. You're really not. They eat so little, and they actually eat less of higher quality foods, so it all evens out. It's just dog food for heaven's sake, not caviar. I have three dogs on Evo and the food averages about $10 per month. Three dogs. (The fourth is on a special diet.)
You're a great mom, and it sounds like you're trying to do what's best for the baby. You always want to do what's best for the DH as well, but sometimes you just have to put your foot down.
