Yea, that occured to me and worried me too. I questioned my vet and she said that bc it's such a slight heart murmur she doesn't believe it would have any negative effects on any of his offspring if I decided to one day breed him. She also said that often puppies start out w/ a slight and barely audible heart murmur and then "grow out of it". But trust me I'm going to take all the MUCH NEEDED and OFTEN AVOIDED proper preparing and testing done to confirm his ability to make healthy, happy AKC approved puppies! Everyday I'm learning new things and ways I need to prepare in order to have a healthy litter. Like today I was doing some research on preparations for breeding and I discovered the disease Brucellosis and it opened my eyes to the reality that neglectful and irresponsible breeding can lead to the spread of such and awful sickness. What I really would like to do is get in contact w/ some AKC, very highly regarded and responsible breeders that I could learn every single trick of the trade from. That's kind of why I joined YT. I didn't want to be just another backyard breeder w/ no idea what a huge responsibility it is to breed. So I do my best to filter through tips and comments and directions to try and find the truth. I just want the best for the breed all over.
