Hi Everyone,
I got Teddy Friday night from a family in Essex (UK). This family lived in a council house- single mum, disabled daughter, had a rotweiller, a bullmastiff and 3 ferrets. Teddy didn’t seem to be very well looked-after.

I asked the Mum what she fed him. Her response, “Oh he eats burgers and chips.” (French Fries)
Has he been vaccinated? “We don’t believe in vaccinations. That’s why my daughter is disabled”
Has he been fixed? “What do you mean by fixed? Oh he still has his balls”
Has he ever seen a vet? “Nope.”
How does he get along with your other dogs? “Teddy’s whole head fits in our rotweiller’s mouth”
I didn’t want to leave Teddy with the family one minute longer. So I went to a cash machine and withdrew £250 and gave it to them for the dog. And on top of that he had fleas!
Anyhow, I’ve given him a flea bath. On Thursday I’m taking him for a vet check and to get his jabs. Then on the 30th I’m getting him microchipped.
My Yorkie, Fifi, is possessive and has a bit of a mean streak in her. She doesn’t like the new dog sniffing around my flat. Teddy is a sweet gentle and curious dog. All he wants is for Fifi to play with him. Fifi, just wants to be left alone and snaps at Teddy. Teddy gets along with a few of the other dogs in the neighborhood. I don’t know maybe eventually Fifi and Teddy will grow used to each other, but I’ve really upset the harmonic balance in my home.
I’m looking to re-home Teddy to a nice family/individual. I want to get him check out by a vet first—as I wouldn’t want to pass along a dog that has problems. Also, as of now the dog has no papers, so I’m in the process of sorting that out. I just want verification that he has a clean bill of health.
Really, I’m just trying to recover as much of the the £250 I put out for him. I don’t mind paying for the vet costs myself.
Teddy is adorable. I would keep him myself if Fifi would ever get along with him
See above post about Teddy's story
Cheers,
Angela
