I agree with the others, at 8 weeks he was way too young to be taken away from the mother/litter. Now you have to try a little extra hard to replace them and be there for him!! I like TeresaM's idea of a back pack where he can be close to you and you can still get some work done.
We got Romeo at 11 weeks and he required a lot of our attention. For the longest I couldn't leave him at home and go to work because he was so young so I had to bring him along to work!! Then my husband took him to work for a while!! Then we decided the safest place for him to be was to be at home, so now I go home at lunch to check up on him and make sure he's okay.
Its funny, they do grow out of the baby stage so do enjoy it. Romeo is almost a year now and it used to be everytime we gave him a new toy or a treat he would bring it to us to investigate what it was and now he investigates it on his own!! Doesn't need us as much and I tell him all the time "you're a big boy now!"
So be patient with him. Oh yeah and you need another load of patience for potty training! The puppy pads worked well but its hard in the beggining to keep reminding them where to go!! Just be patient and enjoy your bundle of joy! Welcome to YT, you will make a lot of friends here
