If you are crate training Wookie, then you want to keep him in the crate because if he is in a xpen or allowed to roam around wouldn't he find a place too pee??
From what I have read when you are crate training then they should be in the crate. I would think that until he is housebroken the crate would be the best place for him when you are not around to watch him.
