I was going to suggest the same. As soon as all the puppy hsots are ocmpleted have a groom booked. First groom should be nothing more then an introuduction...get him on a schedule. Most groomers get VERY busy around peak times (holidays and summers), so prebooking may be a very good idea. Call around to groom shops and find someone that you feel comfortable with or someone that your friends give great recommendations.

I have found some dogs HATE to be groomed...those ones I suggest every 4
weeks just a bath and tidy and keep working with your pup at home.
The moe they get groomed the more they will start to realize that nothing is hurting them, what behaviour is expected, and some even learn to enjoy the pampering, but it takes time.

For a full groom schedule every 6 weeks is the most i would stretch it out to.
