Our dogs nibble at our grass all the time, and we have about 35 different varieties of grass in our yard (around two acres). My DH complains about that, and our varieties of grass are completely my fault, but they've never made any of our dogs sick.

Any sort of fungi is a different question. We have some that grow in our yard. Don't allow your dogs to eat any of it. You don't really need to do anything special. Just don't let your babies out if you can't be there to supervise what they're doing. That isn't specifically because of grass or fungi. Yorkies are small enough that they're "prey" for some predatorial animals. Ours aren't allowed out the door unless we're with them.
I am always with him outside watching him very carefully. Our yard needs some work and fresh grass, that I admit. I'm just amazed how the people before us had no interest what so ever in taking care of it, at least a little bit.

Well, thank you for answering
