I had a similar experience where Hot Rod and I went for our usual walk and he threw up way later in the afternoon. I called the vet and they gave me a couple of options and I chose to watch him at home for that afternoon. He didn't get to the point of falling down. Others on yt told me that throwing up was one of the first signs of heatstroke. We only go out for potty breaks when it is really hot. We do our walks in the am or pm now.

Maybe try putting him on a cold wet towel to help his body temp. I would also try to wet him down. Do not put ice cold water, just cool to tepid water. I hope your little one is okay.
