Really, now, is all that called for? Breeders are not some single minded group that all think and act alike. While I would probably do as Yorkierose suggested and refund the money, not every breeder would. Seems like, in this case, the buyer is okay with the 50% refund, she just wants it sooner than the breeder is offering it. This dispute hardly rises to the level of getting 'your fangs out' but because some people would is why I would refund the money. It's just not worth the bother because some people will just make a mountain out of a mole hill. Not saying the OP is such a person; she just asked the question. Even though something should have been spelled out in regards to the deposit, I think most people understand that deposits on dogs are generally non-refundable. A contract could save this breeder a lot of potential aggravation.
