Seems to me after you placing that pup on hold for you so he/she was no longer available for sale that you should sit back and wait for that pup to be sold. And I find the paypal thing a very tacky and rude way to deal with this.

Tacky is the breeder not having a written agreement and doing business via email. Tacky is wanting to keep someone's money after having a hardship! Tacky is keeping someone's deposit, and turning around and selling the pup for the same price! Tacky is thinking some life changing person is going to come in after 4 days! But, of course, you're a breeder and will side with them. Why would I think anything different?
