I cut the hair on top and between their pads on Ruby and Reno. I've used beard trimmers and scissors and now prefer using scissors. I also cut their nails myself and use clippers (just regular small human nail clippers) then I use the Peticure to smooth them off.
I ordered the grooming dvd that I think, it's Sue, on here offers for sale. It helped a lot and has some great tips for all home grooming. It's designed for pet people, but if you're uncertain about these grooming procedures it is certainly worth watching!
It was a struggle at first to get them to co-operate but now it's not much of a problem....Reno is still learning about the Peticure though.
