I sewed the vest for our Yorkie/Chi mix (Chorkie) female Bitsy. Turned out so cute! Made it from denim material salvaged from old jeans and lined with white material. To attach the D ring, I took a short narrow length of denim and sewed along the edge and then turned it inside out. I then attached it to the vest putting the D ring just behind the shoulders securing in either side of the ring with bar tacks. She has worn it when on a leash since two months of age and is now 7 months which was made possible with the velcro closing. Possibilities endless with choices of material!!! Easy to attach lace for females as well as masculine touches for males.
