It has been my experience that the refund on a pup is almost always non-refundable. Did you sign any sort of contract that specifically states the amount of the deposit and what would happen if you didn't end up getting the puppy? If she is willing to give you 1/2 back when she sells the puppy I think that is fair. Just keep in close contact with her and inquire about the puppy often to know if he has found a new home. Sorry I don't have better knowledge, maybe a breeder on YT would be more helpful in this situation. Good luck.
