But yes, I did forward it to the PD...more because I was extremely angry and upset at the time, less because I actually thought anything could be done about it.

BamaFan, did you look at the full header to see what ISP it came from? The info should be listed in there, contact that ISP and see if they can find out who sent it, tell them you've contacted the police about it, give them the phone number for the PD because the ISP likely won't release that info to you, but they will to the PD.
