It just won't end. When someone proves that chocolate and tan or parti-color doesn't come with any negative health effects, another reason is given. Although I can't understand how a breed club could claim that certain colors cause health problems...when you've never saw a chocolate lab that had health problems, just because it was chocolate! Or a parti-colored cocker spaniel that had problems...just because it was a parti. So now they have to give another reason.
AND, ...there are solid coat colors acceptable for the Australian terrier. If what I read was correct, when the Yorkie was brought to Australia it was bred with the Aussie, and the resulting puppies were more or less the foundation for the Silky Terrier...but after awhile it got confusing and you had to have your puppy (regardless of who the parents were) inspected to see if they were Aussie, Silky, or Yorkie. So that could be some of the golden colors ''popping up''....
And, I've saw chocolate and tan silkies, (quite a few...) so that blows the argument that these colors don't present themselves in the silkies up. |
