I think it is a wonderful thing to do. I thought I would love to do that when I retire. I understand the heartbreak. All of my life, every little dog or kitty that tripped into our yard and had been lost or "dumped", I would find myself attached to them in no time at all. However, someone has to do it and I think after I retire I could do it. It's a wonderful thing to open your heart and home to a little one that has been abused or just simply given up by an older person who died or whatever.
