LOVE, love our x-pen! I would leave the food & water in there w/the puppy, some do better than others when they get to their new homes so you wouldn't want to take a chance of him getting hypoglycemic the first few days-also for the first two weeks regan would nibble at odd times on her food but she wouldn't eat unless I hand fed her. Congrats on your new baby
