Hey girl! I know how your feeling! I was right there too just a few weeks ago...
I got my Pixie spayed after months of stressing over it..she had her 1st season at about 9 months and she was spayed at 13 months...Pixie is a little under 3lbs. I found a good vet..checked out his website and was happy with what I saw then booked a consultation with him and took with me a list of questions I had written down..he answered every one and was very confident that she would be fine. I paid extra to have her bloods checked to make sure she was 100% healthy beforehand..apparently there was no need in a dog so young but I think it was well worth it for peace of mind.
Pixie was very sleepy when I first brought her home..she managed to eat some food off my fingers that the vet had given me and drank some water which was a relief...she slept all night and she woke me early the next morning crying in her crate which I had brought into our room for the night..I took her in the garden and she peed...another sigh of relief!...within 24 hours she was almost back to normal and she didn't even so much as look at her incision...which was TINY! the vet did an excellent job...I was soooo happy and relieved it was all over! Pixie also had 7 baby teeth removed, microchip and her nails trimmed...best to get all this done in one go..the idea being that hopefully they will never have to be put under an anaesthetic again!
I just found this past thread for you that I found really helpful at the time.
