I used the onesie for Layla only at night. I couldn't tell if she would bite at her stitches so just to be safe she wore them only at night. Layla was OUT of it for a good 3 days and needed help standing to go to the bathroom (she was quite pitiful ) Also when you go to lift her make sure you grab her bottom and hold it tight to her body. Layla did not come home with pain meds and didn't really seem to need them (i'm sure she WAS in pain but she really just slept for 3 days straight) but i didn't want to stretch her body and pull on the incision. Also even tho you are going to be SO sad to leave her there... don't let her see it.. be upbeat and she will be fine (cry in the car later!) I remember going to pick Layla up.. being a bit unprepared for how "out of it" she would be and she smelled like whatever they used to clean her belly.. not pleasant.. good luck and she will do fine
