 Hey Everyone!
Hey everybody I'm new to the site and I just wanted to say hello! I wish I had found this group sooner because it has so many answers to so many questions i've had about yorkies! I've had one of them for about a year and a half now and I'm still learning everyday!
I got my first dog, Gizmo who is now 2, in april 2007 and then in Aug 2007, we got his now 3 yr old sister Bella. a little over a month ago bella surprisingly had puppies. The breeder we got her from had tried for the two and a half years she had her to breed her but it never worked. Bella went into heat ever 2-3 months and the vet told us they wanted to watch her a little more before they could get her fixed. Well, 5.5 weeks ago she had 7 puppies! No one We know had ever heard of a yorkie having so many little babies. She had to have an emergancy C-section because the vet told us she wouldn't be able to handle giving birth to that many puppies while keeping them and herself alive. the vet ended up fixing her that day too which was a good idea because i felt so bad putting her though all of those heat cycles. sadly, within the day we lost one but it was better off because we could tell he was sick.
well, i just figured i'd tell a little bit of my yorkie history and i look forward to sharing more about our puppies in the future!
