Have you ever thought of getting a computer for the time being from someone who reformats computers then sells them? My boyfriend parent's bought one from this used computer store here and it works great. I mean it isn't brand new of course and doesn't have all the latest bells and whistles but it'd be good until you could afford a brand new one! I think they paid like $150 for it, maybe less.
