Yes, opinions on the food are very mixed. Some hate it, some swear by it, some don't buy it because they don't support the company itself. (They were in the midst of a sticky situation a few years back regarding animal testing by an outside company they'd hired.)
It's by no means the 'best' food out there by standards of most on YT, but it may be a good option for YOUR individual dogs needs. I would suggest you try any food that you think might be a good match and examine the results you see.
Also, there is a sticky at the top of the section with some of the more recommended brands of commercial food. (YT recommended anyway.) Some companies will send you free samples to try if you contact them.
