"Living the American dream" means having the freedom to pursue goals, wishes, opportunities and dreams in the pursuit of happiness and success! It's knowing that we are free to live our lives the way we want and hopefully find security, financial and otherwise! This question made me think of the bumper sticker I see all the time "Land of the free, because of the brave" and I think that is so true!
