Many people believe that if a Yorkies eyes appear green in a flash or when spotlighted in the dark that it will be or is blue and that if they are appear to be red then they will be black.
I do not believe this is true of color but it does usually follow coat texture. A silky dog tends to have "green" eyes and soft coated tend to have red. Or that has been my experience.
