THat happened to me too. My little Gracie loves to shred them the moment I pull them out (the green ones too!).
My solution - pull them out of the plastic bag and let them air-out outside for a day to get some of the strong scent out of them. It worked!
Part of me didn't want her to stop shredding them because I would come home and her face would be full of little white fuzzies. I would ask her what she did and she looked at me as if to say, "I HAD TO CLEAN THIS MESS UP BECAUSE FROTO MADE THIS BIG MESS!"
Yeah - of COURSE I believe her! heehee
