Leg Perthes disease is a bit more common in small dogs than we like, but it is correctable. If you were to adopt any puppy or dog, your going to take a chance that something such as this could occur. None of them come with a guarantee. If you feel a connection to this dog then I say take him home and give him the best life possible.
