The vet called today with the results from Oscar's blood work and thankfully nothing indicated liver shunt. His ALT/AST/BUN levels were just fine, as were his triglycerides and glucose. His muscle enzymes were slightly elevated which the vet said could indicate some sort of seizure activity, although at this point she's attributed it to his high energy level. He was also very slightly anemic, which she also thought might be due to the fact that he is growing so quickly.

At this point she wants me to watch him carefully. I'm planning on having him neutered in a couple months ... if he doesn't exhibit any off behavior before then, she has suggested doing another blood panel alongside the bile acid test as part of his pre-surgery labwork. If he has another one of these episodes before then, she wants me to go ahead and do the bile acid sooner.

I'm relieved ... not 100% relieved, but things are looking better.

Thank you again everyone!
