With mine there is no hope for him to settle down until the female is out of heat or out of the house! The last time Bizzy was in heat and he didn't eat for 2 days -- just beside himself, wouldn't leave her side. And that was true even though he was allowed to breed her. Some boys just get that way. Its annoying, and sad for him, but natural I think. Good luck.
