One of our new Biewers was 7 months old when we got him so he had adjusted to a certain life style prior to coming to our house. He was not very well socialized. I think it just takes a strong pack leader to make things work. I brought Spanky in and put him down ad said MINE in a loud voice. As the other dogs went to sniff him a repeated MINE!. They accepted that he was mine and all went well.

Jeri is my hero..I think she is on the money. I would suggest maybe bringing her over for small intervals in the interim of you actually taking her on full time to see how the personalities match up. I think you should do well being as it's a female and you have a male. I think it's easier to introduce the opposite sex to your home.
