I had a person at my house to see the puppies once and in the 2 hours they were there, he asked about the housebreaking more than 10 times. I started to wonder what would happen to my baby in his house if it peed on the rug. That's all I could think about and told them they should sleep on the decision because maybe a yorkie wasn't for them. I would rather they stay with me, than go just to get the money. I always figure my puppies already have a good home and if need be, they stay right here.

Oh and regarding the housebreaking, I tell people that it takes time and work and you get out of it what you put into it. It doesn't just magically happen.

I have had quite a few that are really concerned about the potty training too. I work with my dogs on potty training as soon as possible. But you can potty train any dog if you work with it and have patience. This concerns me too. Do they have the patience? Are they going to work with it or do they just expect him to sit on a toilet and flush?

And YORKIEROSE,
I have printed your response and I am going to talk to my husband about incorporating this into our process of selecting people.

Also do any of you make the people fill out application? I haven't yet. My husband and I are usually good judge of characters.

Thanks again for all the good advise from everyone.
