We got a doggie door about a month ago and Harley flies through it like it's nothing now, but he was scared of it in the beginning. At first we would get on the other side of the door, hold the flap open and bribe him with a treat. Then after a few days, we let the flap fall down as he was going through so he'd get used to the feel. It probably took less than a week and he had it all figured out. At first he would hit it open with his paw then run through, now he just goes straight through head first. My 2 1/2 year old schnauzer absolutely refuses to even try. We've had no luck with anything we've tried with her, but Harley is too cute going through. It is ADORABLE watching him act like such a big boy!
