My dogs do this to me in the morning. My husband will let them out if he gets up first, but he doesn't feed them so they won't even go down because all they want is food when they wake up. So they bounce on me even if he's standing there with the leashes.
The answer is to have other people feed her, walk her, give her treats, etc. He can put a leash on her and TAKE her outside, then she has no choice.
Aren't they fun? But oh so cute...
