I can certainly understand your fear because I do live out in the country. I have four big farm dogs that start howling as soon as they hear the coyotes start to howl. We're on six acres and sometimes, it sounds like they're right out in the back. Having said that, it's kind of funny because when my big dogs start howling back at them, my little Bella starts too. She finally got somewhat of a howl down - I mean how much can a Yorkie howl????? It is just too funny! Of course, she's always snuggled right up in bed with me - except not since her babies have been born - but she sure keeps howling!!!
