What a fun post. I love seeing how our babies got their names.

Boo is my husbands dog. He is a 5 yr old rescue and came to us with the name Alex, which soooo didn't fit him. As we were driving home from picking him up DH said, "I think I'll call him Boo." It fit, it stuck and best of all Boo likes it and came when called it from the very beginning. I think he answered to it so quickly because he heard me saying we should name him Wasabi and he didn't like that name so much. I love the way that word just rolls off your tongue. But I guess Boo didn't want to be named after a Japanese condiment.

Gracie Ruth was a work in progress. I had a week to wait before getting her and I had several names in mind. Emma, Pebbles, Pixie, Gracie. I waited until I actually got her and spent some time with her before settling on Gracie, the Ruth part just followed one day. She was not listening and I said in a very mommy voice, "Gracie Ruth you better listen to me right now!" And Gracie Ruth it's been since then.

The dog I had before Annie B was a fabulous Rat Terrier who was my true soul mate. She was a born and bred Texan so she absolutely needed more then one name. Her's was Sadie Mae Ann Louise. And let me tell you, she surly knew when she heard the whole name she better come running with I'm so sorry kisses ready.
